People of the Mainland China Area

If I am employed by a global company and have been reassigned to work in R.O.C., how do I apply for the approval of entery into Taiwan?

Status verification

I.You are working in a global company and wish to enter ROC due to company’s HR reassignment.

II.The inviting division is a global company

III.The application information applicable to you: Application information for global inviting people of Mainland China to visit ROC for business activities.

Who should file the application?

I.Applicants residing in Mainland China: the inviting division in ROC must file the application to the National Immigration Agency.
II.Applicants in the foreign country:
The inviting division in ROC must file the application separately:
1.The applicant must provide the soft copy of all the relative documents and file them to a ROC embassy, representative office, or an organization authorized by the government located in the foreign country.
2.The inviting division must provide an application form, which consists of 3 copies, and file the application to the service centers located in various cities or counties and pay the fees for the permit accordingly

III.The inviting division may apply on the behalf on the applicant if the applicant is residing in a country with no ROC embassy or representative office.

Suitable Candidates

I.People of Mainland China who are employed by a global country as the representative, manager, or those engaged in professional or technical services with employment of at least 1 year.

II.Spouse and children under the age of 18 of the applicant may apply to enter ROC together with the applicant.

Where to apply?

I.Applicants residing in a foreign country should apply from the ROC embassy.

II.The inviting division should file the application to the service centers located in various cities or counties.

Required documents

I.Applicants residing in Mainland China or a foreign country without ROC embassy must provide an original application form and 2 duplicated copies:
1.Entry/exit permit application form with a 2 inch colored photograph with white background attached.
2.Letter of indemnity
3.Mainland China passport that is valid for at least 6 months or other certificates proving the applicant’s identity.
4.If the applicant is not visiting ROC for the first time, please attach a copy of the ROC entry pass for people of Mainland China or other certificates with the English name stated. If the applicant is visiting ROC for the first time and has no certifications with the English name stated, the applicant’s English name must be stated on the application form.

6.Documents that are to be provided by the inviting division as stated in point 1. This is not required if the inviting division has filed an application within 1 year.
7.Group members list for more than 1 applicants.
8.Employment certificate and other relative documents.
9.The cost for single entry/exit pass is NT$600, the cost for 2 years multiple entry/exit pass is NT$1000, the cost for 3 years multiple entry/exit NT2000. Please provide a registered return mail envelope with the recipient’s name and address. The return mail envelope is not required if the permit is to be collected personally. Please state on the application if single or multiple entry/exit permit is required.

II.Applicants who are residing in a foreign country:
1.Required document for applicants residing in a foreign country:
(1)Entry/exit permit application form with a 2 inch colored photograph with white background attached.
(2)A copy of the Mainland China identification certificate or other documents certifying the applicant’s identity.
(3)If the applicant is not visiting ROC for the first time, please attach a copy of the ROC entry pass for people of Mainland China or other certificates with the English name stated. If the applicant is visiting ROC for the first time and has no certifications with the English name stated, the applicant’s English name must be stated on the application form.
2.The ROC inviting division must provide the same documents as the applicant.

Time for application

I.The inviting division must file the application 10 days prior to the intended date. In case of emergency, the application must be filed 5 days prior to the employment date.
II.Those with the following conditions must apply 30 days prior to the intended journey: 
1.Those applying for stay of more than 6 months. 
2.Those applying for multiple entry/exit permit.

Fees

I.Cost for single entry/exit pass is NT$600

II.Cost for 2 years multiple entry/exit pass is NT$1000

III.Cost for 3 years multiple entry/exit NT2000.
